Application Instructions

Use 8 1/2 X 11 paper and address, in this order, the following issues:

  1. Name.

  2. Institution.

  3. Position and rank.

  4. Number of years at institution; number of years in teaching.

  5. Title and nature of the research project.

  6. Specific indication of how the grant will assist in the completion of the project (e.g., purchase of supplies; travel and for what purpose; released time from summer teaching).

  7. Tentative time schedule for the entire project and current status.

  8. Some indication of the anticipated form of the published results (books or articles) and where the results might appear (publisher, if known, for a book and journals to which an article would be submitted).

Note: Items 5-8 should be given in a narrative of no more than 250 words.

Additionally, request that two persons who know your scholarly work send letters of support, also due on November 1, 2002.
